🏅 Is Jak And Daxter Good

1-Jak II: Renegade <- One of the best games I've played on my PS2. 2-Jak & Daxter 3 <- Good, but not as epic as the 2nd. 3-Jak and Daxter <- Good game. Not too much to say though. 4-Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier <- The PS2 control is HORRIBLE, that's its worst point for me. 5-Jak X <- A major disappointment. Jak & Daxter: TPL. Very good, just not as fun as the previous two imo. It's also very short and a bit too easy. Daxter: one of the best PSP games I have ever played. It's not a bad game, it just can't compete with the previous ones imo, but good nonetheless. Jak and Daxter: Lost Frontier. I'm gonna be honest here: this game is an odd one. With any HD collection there are two questions: Do the games hold up, and is the HD conversion good? For the Jak and Daxter Collection the answers are: yes and yes. Whoa, wait don't go anywhere! Daxter starts off immediately when you end up in Haven City in Jak II and the game shows what Daxter was up to in Haven City while Jak was incarcerated. Jak X is a few years later after 3 and adds a little more lore to the world Jak & Daxter are in while also being an awesome action-packed racing game! I wish for a Jak 4/Jak remake with all my heart, man. But given ND’s success with other IP’s, it doesn’t seem likely at all. A damn shame too, Jak’s world is ripe for more story and experiences (and don’t even get me started on why Sly should still be around, such a waste of a fantastic franchise). Title says it all. I got an itch to play some Jak and Daxter but all I have is a nintendo switch. Can somebody point me toward some good games that are comparable? I don't super remember what I loved about the Jak and Daxter games, I just remember they were my jam when I used to have a ps2 (which I no longer do). The gameplay alone is the reason - they took everything good from Jak 2 and improved upon - light and dark eco, guns, hoverboard and we got some new fresh experiences like driving cars (I really enjoy them), riding dinos, remote controlling robots or flying the paraglider. While in SW mode, the shadow strings around Jak and NPCs remain an issue. Almost 100% true accuracy with J&D1, almost. The game feels like it drops some frames, but it probably does that on original PS2 hardware as well. The slowdown was probably fixed with the collection on PS3 and Vita.
